The GO Group
The GO Group is one of Britain's largest and most successful enterprise trusts. Based in Glasgow, we have been specialists since the-mid eighties SME development. We have a core staff of 75 and an annual turnover of around £3.5m. We are a not-for-profit company, led by a private sector board.
At GO, we are practitioners as well as theorists. We base our work on a thorough knowledge of the challenges facing growing businesses and have a track record of delivering successful solutions using both public and private sector resources.

We celebrate our 25th anniversary this year. In our first quarter century, we have successfully designed, delivered and managed many projects aimed at the creation and development of SMEs, their management and staff.
Current activities
Our main activities are based in Scotland where we have a strong presence:
- The Innovator’s Counselling and Advisory Service for Scotland (ICASS) builds on Scotland’s reputation for producing inventors and provides, throughout the country, support to inventors and small innovative companies to protect their Intellectual Property and develop their products and businesses.
- Cultural Enterprise Office provides business advice and training for cultural enterprises in Scotland from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Dundee and Aberdeen.
- We are market leaders in delivery of the Business Gateway programme with which Scottish Enterprise supports new and growing Scottish businesses. We deliver the service from our 7 locations in 2 franchise areas. We also helped design aspects of Business Gateway, including the training programmes for new entrepreneurs and the adviser standard.
- We have built up a strong learning and development division that specialises in building skills in SME owner managers and their employees. We have over 50 business skills training courses including management development and computer training. We design and deliver tailor made training.
- The Business Map, Scotland’s leading management development programme for SME owner/managers is one of our core products.
- We have a Business and Training Centre located in Glasgow city Centre where we host training courses, hire rooms for meetings, conferences and product launches, and provide serviced and virtual offices.
